Major Charles E. Dieterle is the Executive Officer to the Executive Director at Headquarters Air Force Personnel Center, Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas. As Executive Officer, he oversees 8 personnel and advises the Executive Director and Commander on complex personnel matters to include force development and care solutions to over 450 thousand active duty Airmen and Department of Defense Civilians. Additionally, he is charged with articulating commander guidance to a 2.3 thousand member workforce while managing internal priorities, taskings and high-level deliverables to Higher Headquarters and the Office of the Secretary of the Air Force.

Major Dieterle received his commission from Reserve Officer Training Corps Detachment 620, Bowling Green State University, Ohio. He has served as a missile launch officer within the nuclear enterprise, filling a variety of roles including combat crew commander, senior evaluator, and Assistant Stan/Eval Chief. Additionally, he has held several positions, including flight commander, at the 576th Flight Test Squadron charged with operational testing of the Minuteman III ICBM ensuring the weapon system’s effectiveness and reliability. Prior to his current assignment, Major Dieterle was the Chief of Nuclear and Missile Operations Assignments responsible for force development of 1.2 thousand missileers worldwide.
